Throughout the year there are various different competitions that take place around the country relating to gliding. Pilots generally like the competitions, as they are able to measure their abilities against their fellow pilots.
BVMT Traditionally held the first Sunday of the month	Nationals Website 2005 Nationals being held at Noodberg		HTL 5 Events held during the year at various different clubs
F5J Electric Thermal Duration	F3B Multi task: Speed, Duration and Distance	F3J Thermal Duration
MMS Open First event to be held 13 March 2005	Postals Traditionally 4 events in the year, February, May, August and November. Usually the first weekend onf the month, although the second weekend is also used.		Vaal Triathlon Last event of the HTL. The competitor is tested in three areas: Duration, precision landing and air reading.
